CCS Printing has converted nearly 70% of its lighting to compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs. CFLs use 75% less energy than typical incandescent bulbs and they produce less heat. In addition they last 30% longer than the typical bulb so they do not need to be replaced as often.

All Exit signs have been converted to light emitting diodes (LED). The LED lights are highly efficient and work perfectly for Exit signs that cannot be turned off.

The entire company has adopted the mantra, “If I’m not using it, it’s not on.” There are signs on every light switch in the building reminding employees to conserve energy and turn the lights off. All monitors, heaters, lamps, etc. are turned off when not in use and the production staff ensures that all equipment is either off or running in "power saver" mode unless it is running.
